At DeLuca Homes, we know how important energy-efficient features are. They not only save you money while being kind to the environment, they ensure that the memories you make in your home are enjoyable in every way. From insulated doors to efficient ductwork and everything in between, the features you’ll find in a new DeLuca home make your life easier and more comfortable every day.
We ensure efficiency and quality in every single home with HERS Ratings completed by a third party, and we’re a proud participant in the PECO rebate program that shows 20% energy savings when compared to the current 2015 IECC model code home.
Take a look at a few of the energy-smart features you’ll find in a new DeLuca home.
Just like you know your own preferences inside and out, your programmable thermostat learns your heating habits and is able to set itself. Enjoy year-round comfort (especially when you need it in the winter) with an energy-efficient feature that makes daily life a little bit easier and more convenient.
Did you know that windows can be responsible for a large amount of heat loss in the wintertime? Our low-E glass windows work to minimize the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that comes in through the glass while reducing heat loss — making sure your home is always protected and warm.
As beautiful as the winters can get in PA and NJ, some days are better spent indoors. When you’re cozying up with your family, you want to feel as comfortable as possible. This energy-smart furnace provides optimal warmth and comfort (and savings on your energy bill).
We use 2×6 framing to build your home, which allows for a higher insulation R-Value of R-21 in all above grade walls. “Blown-in” attic insulation of R-38 provides a continuous layer of insulation above the trusses, which results in decreased heating and cooling costs, and increased comfort for you and your family.
All ambient walls are built with a six-sided air barrier to prevent air leakage, and all penetrations to unconditioned space are sealed with caulk or foam. Every one of our homes meets respective energy code requirements by third party verification of the infiltration through a blower door test.
Let there be energy-efficient light! All of the light fixtures in your home are equipped with LED bulbs, which is also verified by a third party through a HERS rating system.
